High-Temperature Engineering Components
PEEK is used as a candidate material for under-hood components, fuel-system parts, electrical connectors, gears, wear parts and manufacturing fixtures. Its value comes from combining thermal, chemical and mechanical performance in a lightweight polymer. Actual suitability depends on the vehicle system, fluid exposure, duty cycle and validation plan.
Stock, CNC or Molding
Rod, sheet and tube support prototypes and machined production parts. CNC machining is useful when geometry or volume does not justify tooling. Injection molding may be appropriate for repeated components after design-for-molding review. Provide annual volume, target grade, drawing, critical dimensions and testing requirements so the manufacturing route can be compared.
Honest Material Trade-Offs
Unfilled PEEK offers toughness and insulation. GF30 increases stiffness but can wear mating surfaces. CF30 provides still higher modulus and improved heat transfer, but is conductive and less ductile. Fiber orientation and shrinkage must be addressed in molded reinforced parts.
