Four Common Grade Families
PEEK grades are modified to balance toughness, stiffness, wear, thermal behavior and electrical properties. Unfilled PEEK is the balanced baseline. GF30 adds 30% glass fiber for stiffness and dimensional stability. CF30 adds 30% carbon fiber for much higher modulus and better heat transfer. Bearing grades combine lubricating and reinforcing additives for sliding applications, but GUNUOFENG offers this family only after sourcing or customization review.
Typical Reference Comparison
Public industry data commonly place density near 1.30 g/cm³ for unfilled, 1.42 g/cm³ for GF30 and 1.45 g/cm³ for CF30. One public comparison reports tensile modulus values of 3.6, 6.2 and 15.0 GPa respectively, with elongation at break decreasing from 20% to 2% and 1.5%. These figures illustrate trade-offs; they are not guaranteed values for every resin, stock shape or finished part.
How to Select
Choose unfilled PEEK for toughness, chemical resistance and insulation. Choose GF30 for structural stiffness where abrasive contact can be managed. Choose CF30 for high stiffness, compressive loading or improved heat transfer when electrical conductivity is acceptable. Consider bearing grade for low-friction sliding only after speed, load, temperature, lubrication and mating material are reviewed.
All published data should be treated as screening information. Confirm the exact grade, test standard, specimen condition, processing route and documentation before design release.
