On-Request Material for Sliding Applications
Bearing-grade PEEK is formulated for friction and wear performance. Typical industry formulations combine PEEK with PTFE, graphite and carbon fiber, but composition varies by supplier and trade name. GUNUOFENG does not present this grade as standard stock. It is sourced or customized on request after the application and available documentation are reviewed.
Application Data Comes First
For a bushing, wear ring, thrust washer, seal or guide, provide load, speed, temperature, motion type, duty cycle, lubrication, counterface material, surface finish and chemical environment. These conditions matter more than a generic “low friction” claim. A material that performs well against hardened steel may behave differently against aluminum, ceramic or another polymer.
Typical Reference, Not a Specification
Public industry tables often describe bearing grade as approximately 10% PTFE, 10% graphite and 10% carbon fiber, with density near 1.44 g/cm³, tensile modulus near 8 GPa and low elongation. These are broad reference figures. PEEK HPV and PVX are supplier-specific naming conventions; they are not GUNUOFENG grade names. Final composition, properties and test data must come from the actual supplied material.
Where bearing grade is unavailable or unnecessary, CF30, unfilled PEEK or another engineered plastic may be considered after review. Samples or prototype testing may be appropriate for critical wear systems.
