Greater Stiffness and Dimensional Stability
PEEK GF30 contains approximately 30% glass fiber by weight. The reinforcement increases stiffness and reduces thermal expansion compared with unfilled PEEK, making GF30 useful for structural components and parts that must retain dimensions under load and temperature. GUNUOFENG accepts inquiries for GF30 stock shapes and finished parts, subject to size and grade confirmation.
Typical Reference Properties
One public stock-shape comparison reports density of 1.42 g/cm³, tensile strength of 130 MPa (18,900 psi), tensile modulus of 6.2 GPa, elongation at break of 2%, and heat-deflection temperature of 175°C (347°F) at 1.8 MPa. These are screening values from a competitor’s published material table, not guaranteed GUNUOFENG specifications. Actual results depend on resin, fiber distribution, process direction, test method and specimen condition.
Trade-Offs to Consider
GF30 is substantially less ductile than unfilled PEEK. Exposed glass fiber can increase wear on a softer mating surface, so it is not automatically the best choice for sliding contact. Fiber orientation may also make properties directional in molded parts. GF30 generally remains electrically insulating, but the exact electrical data must be confirmed from the supplied grade documentation.
Use GF30 for brackets, carriers, fixtures, housings and precision structural parts when the design benefits from higher stiffness. Send load, temperature, tolerance, mating material and electrical requirements for review.
