Balanced Performance Without Fiber Reinforcement
PEEK 1000 is the unfilled grade family used when toughness, chemical resistance, fatigue behavior and electrical insulation are more important than maximum stiffness. Natural PEEK is typically light tan; black variants may also be available. GUNUOFENG accepts inquiries for rod, sheet, tube and CNC-machined components in unfilled PEEK.
Typical Reference Properties
Public industry comparisons report density around 1.30–1.32 g/cm³, tensile strength around 90–115 MPa (13,100–16,700 psi), tensile modulus around 3.6–4.3 GPa, and melting temperature around 340–343°C (644–649°F). Reported values differ by brand, test method and specimen. For example, MCAM publishes values for its own Ketron 1000 grade; those figures describe that branded material and are not GUNUOFENG test results.
Applications and Limitations
Unfilled PEEK is considered for electrical insulators, semiconductor handling components, fluid-management parts, fixtures, seals and precision machined components. Compared with GF30 or CF30, it generally provides greater elongation but lower stiffness. At elevated load, reinforced material may offer better dimensional control. Wear performance should be assessed with the mating surface, speed and lubrication.
FDA-compliant upstream resin grades may be available on request, but compliance is grade- and document-specific. GUNUOFENG does not claim company-level FDA certification. Confirm dimensions, color, documentation and final material designation in the quotation.
