High Stiffness for Loaded Components
PEEK CF30 contains approximately 30% carbon fiber. It offers much higher stiffness than unfilled PEEK and is considered for loaded, dimensionally demanding and heat-dissipating components. GUNUOFENG accepts inquiries for CF30 stock shapes and CNC parts, with final form, dimensions and documentation confirmed by quotation.
Typical Reference Properties
A public competitor comparison reports density of 1.45 g/cm³, tensile strength of 140 MPa (20,300 psi), tensile modulus of 15.0 GPa, elongation at break of 1.5%, and heat-deflection temperature of 170°C (338°F) at 1.8 MPa. Published industry commentary also describes substantially higher thermal conductivity than unfilled PEEK. The exact increase varies by formulation and test direction, so no universal multiplier should be treated as a guaranteed product value.
Conductivity and Design Trade-Offs
Carbon-filled PEEK is electrically conductive and should not be chosen for insulating components. Its low elongation also means designers must consider stress concentrations, sharp corners and impact loading. In molded parts, fiber direction can create anisotropic shrinkage and properties. In sliding components, performance depends on surface finish, pressure, speed, temperature, lubrication and counterface material.
Potential applications include high-stiffness fixtures, wear components, pump and valve parts, structural carriers and selected bearing-related components. Send the complete operating conditions rather than choosing CF30 only from a strength value.
